Course objectives

  1. Explain how alerts, cases, SARs and 314(a) searches fit together in the Hub, and which role does what
  2. Read an explainable alert and the customer risk view, and decide whether to close or escalate it
  3. Close an alert with a reason code and a note that would satisfy a quality reviewer or examiner
  4. Investigate a case, record the detection date and write a file or no-file recommendation with its rationale
  5. Draft a SAR narrative using the five-part structure and send it through BSA officer approval
  6. Record a filing acknowledgment and work continuing-activity reviews on filed cases
  7. Keep SAR information confidential and leave an audit trail that explains every decision
