AML & SAR Automation Hub
AML & SAR Automation Hub essentials
Work alerts from the queue to a decision, investigate cases, and draft, approve and track Suspicious Activity Reports in the AML & SAR Automation Hub.
About this course
The AML & SAR Automation Hub brings transaction monitoring alerts, investigation cases and Suspicious Activity Reports into one place. This course follows the work the way it happens: an alert arrives in your queue with the reasons it fired, you decide whether it is suspicious, an investigator builds the case, and a SAR is drafted, approved by the BSA officer, exported for BSA E-Filing and tracked for continuing activity.
The course is for AML analysts, investigators and the BSA officers who approve their work. It teaches how to use the Hub, not your institution's BSA/AML policy: reason codes, review timing and approval rules come from your own procedures, and filing decisions always stay with the people your institution designates.
What you’ll be able to do
- Explain how alerts, cases, SARs and 314(a) searches fit together in the Hub, and which role does what
- Read an explainable alert and the customer risk view, and decide whether to close or escalate it
- Close an alert with a reason code and a note that would satisfy a quality reviewer or examiner
- Investigate a case, record the detection date and write a file or no-file recommendation with its rationale
- Draft a SAR narrative using the five-part structure and send it through BSA officer approval
- Record a filing acknowledgment and work continuing-activity reviews on filed cases
- Keep SAR information confidential and leave an audit trail that explains every decision
