Credentialing & Privileging Portal essentials
Take a practitioner from online application through primary-source verification and committee review to approved privileges, then keep the file current through monitoring, reappointment and surveys.
About this course
The Credentialing & Privileging Portal takes a practitioner from application to approved privileges in one system. It collects the application, runs primary-source checks where they can be automated, assembles the file for committee review, and keeps watching licenses, certifications and exclusions after appointment. This course follows one file through that whole journey, from the invitation the practitioner receives to the evidence a surveyor asks to see.
It is written for credentialing specialists and medical staff services managers who work in the portal every day, and for the administrators who support them. The portal follows your bylaws and credentialing policy: it records decisions and evidence, but the decisions themselves, and meeting accreditation standards, remain your organization's responsibility.
What you’ll be able to do
- Explain how a credentialing file moves from application to an appointment decision, and who acts at each stage
- Help practitioners complete, attest to and submit an application, and fix common problems with invitations and submission
- Complete and record primary-source verifications, automated or by a specialist, and resolve possible exclusion matches correctly
- Prepare a complete file and committee packet, and route privilege requests through the chair, committees and board
- Keep appointed practitioners current with expiry reminders, exclusion rechecks, FPPE and OPPE, and reappointment
- Produce survey evidence from the audit trail and reports, and give surveyors time-limited read-only access

Course completion records and certificates of completion show that a person completed a Moraph Academy course. They are not a Moraph certification (which needs the certification exam), a professional license or an accreditation, and they do not authorize anyone to configure, operate, resell or support Moraph products on Moraph’s or anyone else’s behalf.
