Course objectives

  1. Explain how an application moves from the applicant wizard to an issued permit or active license, and who acts at each stage
  2. Check an application for completeness and either route it to review or return it with a specific request
  3. Work a review for your discipline in parallel with other disciplines, and handle resubmittals round by round
  4. Explain how fees are calculated, paid through your processor, and adjusted, waived or refunded with a second person's approval
  5. Request, record and follow up inspections, then issue permits and process license renewals
  6. Describe how administrators turn local codes and fee schedules into permit types, wizard questions, checklists and allowed moves, and test changes safely
